Recognizing and Celebrating Past SCAA and SCAE Award Winners

This year’s Global Specialty Coffee Expo in Seattle marks a landmark occasion — it’s the first event post-unification of the Specialty Coffee Associations of America and Europe (SCAA and SCAE). This is a seismic shift, and it’s during this exciting time when we reflect on those who have played a huge role in both organizations throughout the years and helped make the specialty coffee industry what it is today.

These pioneers have been recognized by their peers for their impressive contributions in education, innovation, leadership, and sustainability. Through their hard work and mentorship of the next generation, they have ensured continuous growth of the specialty coffee industry for years to come.

The awards are given by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) for various reasons, but winners all have something in common: they’re each distinctly creative, unique, and collaborative. They all have big dreams but can come together, work on a team, and bring those ideas to the table for the betterment of the industry.

As the American and European specialty coffee organizations begin this exciting new era, as a unified, global association, it’s important to recognize those selfless, industry leaders who have paved the way. We thank you again and salute you!
