Back in the Southeast after a seven year absence, the exhibit hall at the 28th annual SCAA Expo in Atlanta will prove to be the only place to discover the newest and the hottest items in specialty coffee. You won’t want to miss out! With a nearly sold out show floor, it’s an integral part of your learning, professional development and networking that takes place at Expo. The world’s largest coffee tradeshow features over 400 exhibitors (800+ booths) showcasing the best and most innovative products to help take your business to the next level. Whether you’re looking for a roaster, lids, accounting software, sourcing green beans or straight-up advice, the exhibit hall floor is the place to find it.
While technology has certainly made conducting business faster and more efficient, nothing beats an honest to goodness face-to-face meeting with other business owners. Sharing your story with someone can help you find new products and ideas that you may not have been intentionally looking for. You’ll have the opportunity to explore and discuss in-depth with expert vendors how to grow your business and learn about the innovation behind new products. In addition to the lectures and Pathway classes you can attend, you’ll see old friends and make new ones.
And, most importantly, you’ll be able to taste great coffee! And tea. And chai. And cookies, pastries, biscotti – it’s better than being at Costco! Being able to touch, feel, smell and taste these products helps you to make the best decisions for your company.
Stop by the SCAA Lounge to update your membership, hear about upcoming events and trainings, meet new members or just relax a bit.
This year we are proud to feature two new pavilions. Uppers & Downers is brought to you by SCAA & Good Beer Hunting and is focused on the craft brew industry and how coffee is utilized in its product. There will be brewers and roasters on hand offering samples of their wares. You’ll learn about the unique storytelling that helps distinguish these craft brands, just like coffee. It’s an over-21 area so please come with your ID.
The Technology Pavilion will showcase companies that help retailers and roasters conduct their businesses more efficiently. The latest technology in POS, scheduling, music rights, sound systems, payroll, human resources, Wi-fi, etc. will be featured in a one-stop shopping experience. Our ultimate goal is aimed at helping retailers focus on the back-end of operations.
Indonesia is our portrait country. Visit their pavilion and learn about the history of their coffee production. Meet producers and roasters who bring specialty to Indonesian coffee. And, of course, enjoy a variety of samples.
The Best New Product Competition debuts a new look in the registration lobby. All entered products will be displayed in a museum-like setting. See up-close cutting edge products and then head to the exhibitor’s booth to learn more detail.
The hub of activity, the exhibit hall is the shining star of Expo. Don’t miss out on all of the fun, knowledge, and free samples it has to offer! This is specialty coffee at its finest.
