Strength perseveres in the face of unthinkable tragedy

Along with the rest of the world, we watched in horror as it was reported that 4 police officers were gunned down in a Washington coffee shop last Sunday. Most of us cannot imagine the impact witnessing a crime like that would have on us. However, the owners of the coffee shop it happened in have shown courage, compassion and strength over the past few days as evident in their facebook posts:

Forza will be eternally indebted to Mark Renniger, Ronald Owens, Greg Richards and Tina Griswold. They stood in harms way, forced an armed suspect out of the cafe and away from our staff and other customers. They are our Heroes.”

They have also set up a donation via Paypal that will benefit the families of the fallen officers. If you would like to contribute, you can by visiting their website.
There were so many victims-the officers who bravely put their lives on the line every single day, their families, and the customers and employees who had to witness the unthinkable. Our hearts and prayers continue to go out to them, and the SCAA hopes that they can find a way to begin to heal in the coming weeks and months. Forza’s own Rich Jennings states: “It is Forza’s goal to help the families of those who lost their lives during this difficult holiday season, and into the new year as they struggle to reconstruct their lives in the year ahead.”
